Awo Taan Healing Lodge

Awo Taan Healing Lodge in Calgary provides shelter and community services to indigenous people who have faced violence or abuse. Mike has partnered with Awo Taan on a few different projects with one called “Reclaiming Power and Place” focusing on the experiences of family members of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls. These stories are for mature audiences only, but they are powerful and demand a response. These stories demonstrate the power of digital storytelling to motivate and inspire change.
