The Sapphire Project

The purpose of the Sapphire Research Project is to help understand the unique psychosocial needs of young women with breast cancer and to develop an online self-management app to help support these needs. A core goal of the Sapphire Project is to not just provide information about breast cancer, but to share stories the stories and experiences of other young women in a way that helps others. In 2022, Mike was very happy to work with 16 young women from across Canada in both workshop and one-to-one settings to create digital stories about their cancer experiences. All of the stories were incredibly meaningful and compelling and a link to the app where you can view the stories will be posted once it is publicly available.
