Incremental Dialysis: A Gentler Start
Mike was contracted by the Medicine SCN to create an education curriculum for the Incremental Dialysis program because of a demonstrated lack of understanding of the program. In this project he worked with one patient advisor to create a digital story about his incremental dialysis experience and then filmed a nephrologists and researcher reflecting on the story and providing additional details about the treatment. It was both an engaging and informative way to increase understanding of the Incremental Dialysis program and is shared with all new dialysis patients in Alberta as part of the basic onboarding procedures.
